About The Position

The Application Analyst role is a remote position that requires a blend of technical expertise, analytical skills, and excellent communication to effectively bridge the gap between business needs and technical solutions. The analyst will serve as a technical point-of-contact, working closely with subject matter experts and the People Operations team to enhance Workday and other enterprise applications. This role involves managing data and system integration, optimizing application functionality, ensuring data integrity, and analyzing data flows to maximize the functional use of Workday and related applications.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, Data Analytics, or related field.
  • Three years of hands-on experience with Workday, preferably with Workday Studio.
  • Strong experience in analytics, process mapping, and solution-based practices.
  • Experience using SQL for data retrieval and reporting.
  • Hands-on experience with scripting languages like Python, JavaScript, or PowerShell.
  • Experience with APIs (REST) and business process automation tools.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical staff.

Nice To Haves

  • Workday certification is strongly preferred.
  • Experience with relational databases such as SQL Server, Oracle, or MySQL.
  • Project management experience is a plus.
  • Familiarity with visual modeling tools like Visio or Lucidchart.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a technical point-of-contact for Workday and enterprise applications.
  • Manage data and system integration to support data sharing with internal and external partners.
  • Analyze, document, communicate, and validate business requirements regarding Workday and other applications.
  • Optimize application functionality and ensure data integrity and security.
  • Perform configuration and testing support for Workday.
  • Monitor critical transactions, integrations, and operational jobs.
  • Consult with stakeholders on upstream and downstream impacts of changes.
  • Implement business process automation to reduce costs and increase revenue.
  • Conduct data analysis to identify trends and correlations.
  • Guide project discovery with stakeholders to define business requirements.
  • Document and analyze current and proposed workflows for improvement.
  • Partner with business leaders for user acceptance testing.
