Application Engineer II

About the position

Nikkiso Clean Energy & Industrial Gases is seeking an Applications Engineer to join our team in North Las Vegas, Nevada. Reporting to the Manager of Applications Engineering, the Applications Engineer will be responsible for preparing quotations for various inquiries, ensuring timely submissions and responses. This role serves as the primary technical contact for customers during the sales stage, requiring a strong understanding of customer technical requirements and project specifications.

Responsibilities

• Prepare technical selection and scope of supply in line with customer's technical requirements.
• Review project specifications and prepare deviations list, as well as attend and/or respond to technical clarifications requests from the customer.
• Prepare costs and quotation (price and delivery) based on the performed technical selections and technical clarifications.
• Work with other departments and suppliers to address any quotation specific requirements.
• Assist with AE tools development.
• Domestic and foreign travel to meet with customers.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering is required
• Minimum of 2 years' professional experience is required
• FE/EIT strongly preferred
• Specific industry experience is strongly preferred.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in rotating equipment / centrifugal pumps is preferred.
• Experience in bidding/proposal preparation and the ability to read and understand bid/proposal specifications, both from a technical and commercial perspective.
• Experience w/ 3D CAD software, SOLIDWORKS preferred.
• Experience w/ ERP system preferred.
