This internship takes place at our global headquarters in Bloomington, MN, over an 11+ week period. Donaldson Company Inc.'s Medical Device group is looking for an Engineering Intern to function as technical support within the Applications Engineering team. This role offers the opportunity to contribute in a very high-visibility, high-impact area of our business and be part of a dynamic, fast-paced and global engineering team.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with engineering and business teams to help advance medical filter technology and develop innovative solutions for our team and customers.
  • Coordinate and complete the testing and validation of systems or components.
  • Work to document materials and testing as required for product regulatory standards.
  • Communicate and present project findings to internal teams and external partners.

Requirements

  • Current undergraduate rising junior (current 2nd year) or rising senior (current 3rd year) enrolled in an accredited program pursuing a bachelor's degree in one of the following: Mechanical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Bioproducts and Biosystems Engineering, or related field.
  • Experience with the Microsoft Office Suite programs: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook.

Nice-to-haves

  • Interest in working directly with Medical Device and Healthcare technical customers, both in-person and virtual, to meet common goals.
  • Ability to independently lead projects within a collaborative environment.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, high learning agility, analytical and decision-making skills.
  • Exceptional organizational and collaboration skills as demonstrated through leadership positions on teams and/or in student or civic organizations.
  • Minimum 3.0 out of a 4.0 cumulative GPA
