About the position

The Technical Supervisor - Linear Trench Drains leads the engineering team which is responsible for sizing and troubleshooting products within the product line, designing customized products for unique customer applications, and providing engineering support to customer care. Ensures projects are completed on time.

Responsibilities

• Lead application engineering team focusing on expert product and application knowledge.
• Oversee and contribute to the design and development of products for internal and external customers.
• Determine project specifications by studying product design, customer requirements, and performance standards.
• Research and recommend design enhancements or modifications for cost reduction and quality improvements.
• Collaborate with department Manager and Applications Engineering Manager for custom products.
• Provide product training to internal and external customers.
• Partner with interdepartmental leads to maintain project deadlines and funnel development.
• Perform administrative functions such as reviewing and writing reports and assisting with departmental budgets.
• Drive productivity gains via process improvements and system automation.
• Supervise direct reports regarding project responsibilities and performance evaluations.
• Maintain a safe and clean working environment by enforcing procedures and regulations.

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years experience in mechanical engineering design.
• Minimum 2 years experience as supervisor, project manager, or engineering team lead.
• Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Plastics Engineering or comparable degree required.
• Proficient in AutoCad and Microsoft Office Suite.
