About the position

Responsible for assisting customers with system designs. Will work within defined parameters to make decisions, apply concepts to issues of moderate complexity, and resolve issues through immediate action or short-term planning.

Responsibilities

  • Understand and follow the Livewire strategy and mission.
  • Evaluate customer requirements and provide applicable equipment solutions for power generation, with sizing of Power Distribution Systems (Transformer and Switchgear).
  • Collaborate with component vendors to integrate Livewire Products into designed packages that are geared towards specific industry targets.
  • Provide engineering technical guidance and support to sales team for various project development and proposal preparation.
  • Develop detailed reports, ensuring client project specifications are defined and monitored.
  • Evaluate non-standard product requests, applications, and capabilities.
  • Prepare and present technical data and proposals to internal and external customers.
  • Document and communicate results of technical data generated.
  • Assure that proper documentation of technical data generated for assigned projects and/or tasks are consistent with engineering policies and procedures.
  • Provide application technology support to customers.
  • Frequent communication with customers to ensure satisfaction and implement necessary corrective actions as required.
  • Reviews Industrial requirements and submits technical information (schematics, upgrades packages).
  • Technical conversations with customers and sales team.
  • Review and estimate cost for industrial repairs.
  • Commissioning in field deliveries.
  • Travel up to 30%

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering (Electrical) PE Certification preferred; will consider equivalent work experience in lieu of education.
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience working with electrical schematics.
  • Experience with electro-mechanical project and/or design experience preferred.
  • 3D CAD modelling and drafting experience preferred.
  • Power generation experience preferred.

Nice-to-haves

  • Power generation knowledge preferred (turbine and reciprocating engines).
  • Low /Medium voltage expertise.
  • Power distribution equipment selection including but not limited to transformers & switchgears.
  • Understanding of SAE J1939 CAN and CANopen communication protocols is preferred.
  • Understanding of controls & automation, embedded controls, and battery systems is preferred.
  • Knowledge of Data center power infrastructure is preferred.
  • Basic hydraulic fracturing knowledge preferred.
