About the position

As an Application Engineer, you will maintain and enhance existing applications and GUIs in the Connectivity offering. This includes the Connectivity application that monitors the NSA backbone network (GUI component), a NetFlow and Port Security dashboard that adjudicates STE compliance for all agency network equipment (GUI component), and an SNMP GUI that configures and tracks the SNMP poller used for Port Security. You will also be involved in supporting activities for all the above tools and services.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and enhance GUI frontend for Connectivity, NetFlow & Port Security dashboard, and the SNMP GUI.
• Provide some backend support in Typescript to support new and enhanced features.
• Maintain poller, collectors, and data ingest functions using Java and Python.
• Manage databases (MongoDB, Postgres or similar).

Requirements

• Experience in Java.
• Familiarization with Haipe.
• Experience in Python.
• Experience in Full stack development.
• IAT Level 2 Certification.
• 12 years minimum experience with a High school Diploma/GED, or 10 years with an Associate’s degree, or 8 years with a Bachelor’s degree, or 6 years with a Master’s degree, or 4 years with a Doctorate’s degree.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with Typescript, Angular 10+, and Java.
• Familiarity with MongoDB, Kubernetes (Docker).
• Experience with relational databases (MySQL, Postgres, Oracle, Sybase, etc.).
