Position Summary: The Application Engineer will be assigned to the project team to execute Automation, Solution and System projects. This position will also support our sales force in the Pre-Sales phase to win new Lenze Automation Projects and help to achieve our Automation revenue target.

Responsibilities

  • Developing customer PLC or HMI software
  • Commissioning of Lenze Solutions and Systems
  • Automation project support via phone, remote desktop and onsite
  • Internal and external Automation, Solution and Systems training
  • Provide sales support to field sales, this includes regional training as well as sales support calls
  • Project management
  • Help to grow our Automation solutions revenue
  • Perform all other duties / Projects as assigned
  • Ability to travel up to 25%

Requirements

  • 4 years college/Bachelor’s degree Electrical, Mechatronics, Robotics or Mechanical Engineering
  • IEC 61131-3 (Ladder, Structure text, Function block diagram) required
  • HMI programming required
  • Fieldbus (Ethercat, CAN, Ethernet-IP, RS232/485) required
  • Mechatronic (Mechanic/Electric/Software) required
  • Machine commissioning required
  • Creating Application / Machine specification required
  • Familiar with wiring diagrams and troubleshooting customer wiring required
  • Solid understanding of computer basics (Windows, Excel, Word, MS-Project, Visio, Outlook) required
  • Visual basic preferred
  • Software, installation and setup support on windows systems preferred
  • Project management preferred
  • Machine Safety preferred
