In this role, you will engage with customers through the requirements definition, generating concepts, cost development, and presentation of proposals. You will develop a defined proposal that clarifies all customer requirements and interact with the sales and management teams to lead technical alignment. Presenting concepts to customers while emphasizing competitive advantages will be a key part of your responsibilities. You will assist the internal proposal design team and processes, document technical requirements, project risks, oversee project plans, and project change procedures. Participation in technical advisory roles as required and interaction with customers at all levels will also be expected. You will ensure effective handoff to operations for ongoing maintenance and troubleshooting, follow a standardized quoting process, and create standardized presentations including capture-plans, executive reviews, and customer reviews. The tools you will use include various proposal templates, cost worksheets, CAD tools for concept approach, compliance matrices depending on industry and customer, and FAT/SAT criteria. There will be opportunities for enhancing proposals through the use of technical writers and dedicated simulation/CAD resources, leveraging cross-business expertise and experience via a knowledge-sharing platform, capturing reference machines, and using SharePoint/MS Teams or other online software packages.
