About the position

This Senior Applications Engineer will have experience in LED Technology, lighting products, and marketing support. The candidate should have knowledge and hands-on experience of Solid State Lighting, application developments, engineering support to product management, R&D, sales channels, and end customers. The candidate will be part of a working team that will help with creating future product roadmaps, competitor analysis, and creating Product Information Material.

Responsibilities

• Create technical product literature and sales tools required for pre-sales activities, such as cut sheets, application notes, and installation guides.
• Update product information via the E Catalog and communicate to the Sales Teams via online Training sessions.
• Provide market-related product information.
• Assist the Product Manager(s) to create Market Research for product lines, prepare analysis of potential market size, access to market channels and potential profit pool for LEDVANCE.
• Create and ongoing Product and Competitor benchmark of Competitors, deep dive on competitors technical and go to market abilities and analyze product performance data.
• Validate products per the product specification, including visual aesthetics for the USC markets.
• Perform channel and customer training, trade show support, internal and external presentations of LED systems, luminaires, applications, and other assigned activities.
• Respond to technical questions and troubleshoot application questions of customers and Field Sales representatives.

Requirements

• Hands-on experience/knowledge of solid-state lighting, application developments, engineering support to product management, R&D, sales channels, and end users.
• LED related thermal management, optical design, and system information.
• Experience in various LED lighting applications such as Retail, Industrial, Office, and general illumination.
• Ability to work closely with product management, sourcing, and R&D teams to develop product specifications, marketing materials, and product launch presentations.
• Strong problem resolution and decision-making skills.
• Self-motivated; able to work both independently and collaboratively.
• Strong organization, planning, and project management skills.
• Ability to work in a time-sensitive and high-volume environment.
• Ability to drive work independently and as part of a team.
