About the position

The Architect - Software Development position at Slalom LLC involves co-creating custom software and cloud products with clients to accelerate their digital transformation. The role focuses on building secure, scalable software products using modern tools and techniques, following Agile practices. The architect will lead a small team in designing, developing, and transitioning the entire software stack, ensuring alignment of data, API, and UI components while experimenting with new technologies.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with other software development capabilities to iteratively design, develop, validate, and operate software at scale using agile techniques.
• Provide oversight and guidance for other software engineers.
• Lead the development of the implementation plan: designing the solution, setting patterns and practices, and aligning to the project roadmap.
• Write high-quality application code using emerging technologies and frameworks primarily targeting cloud-based ecosystems.
• Verify components at the unit and integration level using proven validation techniques.
• Develop supporting scripts and routines that automate procedures.

Requirements

• Expertise in Java and AWS.
• Experience in building full-stack solutions across various technologies.
• Strong understanding of Agile practices and collaborative build practices.

Nice-to-haves

• Familiarity with front-end frameworks such as React, Angular, or Vue.
• Experience with back-end services using Node, Typescript, Java, or .Net.
• Knowledge of cloud providers like AWS, Azure, or GCP.
