About The Position

The Architectural Drafter/Detailer position at Bagatelos Architectural Glass Systems, Inc. involves working in a team environment under the direction of the Engineering Manager. Requirements

• 2-year degree in Architecture or Engineering is preferred.
• 2-5 years' experience with glass and aluminum systems is preferred.
• Strong technical and mechanical skills are required.
• Proficient in AutoCAD and have required skills in Inventor/Vault.
• Revit skills are preferred.
• Proficient with MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and Bluebeam.

Nice To Haves

• General construction knowledge of other trades such as structural steel, concrete curbs and walls, and waterproofing systems is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Model, draft, and check shop drawings and fabrication drawings using Revit/CAD/Inventor/Vault.
• Participate in hand-off meetings between engineering and shop production.
• Engage in project team coordination meetings and clash detection meetings to discuss current clashes and resolutions.
• Produce material take-offs from Revit for Project Management and assist Production with data extraction.
• Read and understand construction documents, specifications, architectural and structural drawings, and RFI's.
• Generate RFI's with supporting documentation for the Project Manager.
• Review shop drawings for quality, completeness, dimensional control, and constructability.
• Work to QA/QC policy standards and produce required building model elements along with detailed construction drawings.
