About the position

As a key member of the Oculus Publishing team in Reality Labs, you will work closely with external development partners to inform the in-game and marketing art direction of a handful of large XR game titles, and contribute feedback and recommendations on the visual design of several dozen smaller titles. • High level of expertise in character and environment art, and history of working with UI, VFX, lighting, post-production elements, and marketing visuals such as logos, key art, and trailers
  • Knowledge of best practices in using Games User Research and other data driven approaches to inform both in-game and Marketing Art decisions
  • Familiarity with the VR content ecosystem
  • Bachelor's degree in a directly related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Shipped at least one XR title as lead of the art discipline
  • Shipped multiple titles leading the art discipline for development teams of at least 20 people
  • Experience evaluating milestone deliveries in art design
  • Experience presenting at Greenlight gate meetings and providing recommendations on whether to proceed from Pre-Production to Production
  • Proven experience contributing to art direction in a consulting role, a Publishing Art Director role, or intra-studio feedback structures, including but not limited to environment and character art feedback with 2D paint-overs
  • Demonstrated expertise in Technical Art discipline is a plus
