About the position
The Art Teacher position is anticipated to open for the upcoming school year, specifically for teaching visual arts to students in Kindergarten through Grade 5. The role requires a self-starter who can design, plan, and implement a comprehensive visual arts curriculum. The teacher will be expected to work collaboratively with grade level teachers and take on extra duties as assigned by the building Principal. The position is located at Mann, Knight, and Cooper Elementary Schools.
Responsibilities
- Design, plan, and implement the visual arts curriculum for students in Kindergarten through Grade 5.
- Collaborate with grade level teachers to enhance the educational experience.
- Perform extra duties as assigned by the building Principal.
Requirements
- NJ Teacher of Art Certification.
- Strong interpersonal, written, and communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with grade level teachers.
- Completion of 50 hours of pre-service training through a DOE approved CE educator program for alternate route candidates.
