About the position
Designs and implements engaging art lessons for students in kindergarten through 4th grade, fostering creativity, critical thinking, and artistic expression through various mediums and techniques.
Responsibilities
- Develop and deliver lesson plans that align with the Massachusetts Frameworks
- Create a safe and inclusive learning environment that promotes student engagement and motivation
- Utilize various mediums and techniques, such as painting, drawing, sculpture, and printmaking, to foster artistic expression
- Incorporate Social-Emotional Learning (SEL) principles, including Second Step, to promote social skills and emotional intelligence
- Adapt lessons to meet the needs of students with diverse learning styles and abilities, including students with English Language Learner (ELL) needs
- Demonstrate knowledge of SEI Endorsement principles and strategies to support students with diverse linguistic and cultural backgrounds
