About the position

The Department of Radiology at Mount Sinai is seeking a dedicated Assistant or Associate Program Director to support the Diagnostic Radiology Residency Program at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai (West). The Department of Radiology at Mount Sinai provides comprehensive radiology services throughout the NY metropolitan area. Our Diagnostic Radiology Residency Program at Icahn School of Medicine (West) emphasizes a balanced curriculum integrating formal teaching, practical experience, and subspecialty training. Residents benefit from diverse cases across outpatient and inpatient settings, including rotations at Mount Sinai West, Mount Sinai Morningside, Mount Sinai Union Square, and The Mount Sinai Hospital. The Mount Sinai Health System is uniquely integrated by a single instantiation of IT resources, allowing for harmonized patient and physician experiences, a facilitation of data mining, and a comprehensive easily accessible broad portfolio of pathology. All affiliates are equipped with state-of-the-art imaging technology, ensuring a robust learning experience. Responsibilities

  • Oversee curriculum creation, review, and updates on an annual basis.
  • Orient residents, monitor supervision, and ensure policy adherence.
  • Assist with program evaluation, accreditation, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Work closely with the PD and faculty to maintain high educational standards and provide content expertise.
  • Report residency activities to the PD.
  • Participate in the Residency Leadership Team, potentially serving as Acting Program Director in the PD's absence.

Requirements

  • Completed residency in Diagnostic Radiology with Board Certification.
  • Active physician licensure in the State of New York.
  • Strong interest in resident education and leadership development potential.
  • Excellent communication and management skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with faculty, staff, and trainees.
  • Clinical proficiency in diagnostic radiology with current expertise in standard practices and techniques.
