About the position

As the Assistant Branch Manager for Snow Operations, you will work closely with the Branch Manager to ensure the effective delivery of snow and landscape management services. This role focuses on maintaining client satisfaction and operational excellence through strong leadership, effective communication, and strategic planning. You will oversee various aspects of snow operations, including staff training, inventory management, and customer interactions, while also supporting off-season activities such as sales and contract renewals.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the Branch Manager to oversee snow operations, including planning and executing winter weather management plans.
  • Lead recruitment efforts for Service Partners and seasonal employees based on operational needs.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with service partners and seasonal employees, addressing inquiries and concerns promptly.
  • Manage inventory levels of snow removal equipment and supplies, coordinating with suppliers for timely procurement.
  • Utilize industry-specific software to track snow operations and service documentation.
  • Develop and manage ice watch shifts to ensure proper staffing and timely responses to hazardous conditions.
  • Foster a positive learning environment that promotes professional development and team cohesion.
  • Assist in training new operational staff on service processes and safety procedures.
  • Conduct regular on-site inspections to assess service quality and address any issues promptly.
  • Manage post-season snow damage repairs.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in snow operations and/or landscape management is required.
  • Excellent customer service skills with a focus on client satisfaction.
  • Strong organizational and time management abilities.
  • Proficiency in industry-specific equipment, software, and MS Office.
  • Knowledge of job site safety regulations and best practices.
  • Ability to analyze and solve problems quickly and efficiently.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Valid driver's license.
