About the position

The Assistant Brand Manager plays a critical role in supporting brand growth by executing marketing initiatives, managing projects, and collaborating cross-functionally to bring brand strategies to life. Core brands worked on will consist of Cooked Perfect® Meatballs, RollerBites® and Eisenberg ® Franks. This role is responsible for assisting in the development and execution of go-to-market plans, analyzing market data, and optimizing brand performance while working closely with internal teams and external partners. Key channels of activation and execution will take place in Retail Grocery, Club, Foodservice and C-Store.

Responsibilities

  • Support cross-functional teams (Customer Marketing, Sales, R&D & Finance) to drive brand initiatives.
  • Support agency partners in developing creative assets, packaging, and promotional materials.
  • Assist in the execution of digital marketing campaigns, including social media and paid media.
  • Track and analyze media performance, providing insights to optimize campaigns.
  • Collaborate with media and creative agencies to ensure alignment with brand objectives.
  • Analyze market data, consumer trends, and category insights to support brand decision-making.
  • Assist in consumer research projects, interpreting findings to inform marketing strategies.
  • Monitor competitor activity and industry trends to identify opportunities and threats.
  • Support product launches, promotions, and brand activations in alignment with the brand strategy.
  • Develop and maintain marketing materials, including presentations, sell sheets, and digital assets.
  • Partner with Customer Marketing teams to ensure brand messaging and execution consistency at retail, c-store, and food service locations.
  • Manage marketing budget, tracking expenses, and ROI for brand initiatives.
  • Assist in P&L analysis to understand brand profitability and make data-driven recommendations.
  • Work with finance/accounting teams to track and manage marketing spend.
  • Support product development initiatives, assisting in research, packaging, and positioning.
  • Track competitive trends and assist in identifying new product opportunities.
  • Maintain consistency in brand messaging across channels and customer touchpoints.
  • Support the development of brand plans, including annual marketing calendars and activation plans.
  • Contribute to brand planning, identifying key insights and growth opportunities.
  • Support the development of recommendations based on data and market trends.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to align marketing efforts with broader business goals.
  • Work collaboratively across departments to execute brand plans effectively.
  • Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external agency partners.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or other related fields. An MBA in Marketing is preferred.
  • 2-5 years of experience in brand marketing, consumer goods, creative agency or related industry.
  • Strong project management and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in data analysis and ability to translate insights into implications and recommendations. Experience with syndicated data (Circana, Nielsen, etc.) preferred.
  • Experience with digital marketing, media planning, and consumer research.
  • Ability to create branded assets in-house using Canva or other related creative tools.
  • Ability to access and analyze data from consumption and shipping data tools.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally and manage multiple stakeholders.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills.
  • Knowledge of P&L management and financial analysis is a plus.
