About the position

The Admissions Coordinator for the IUBound program at Indiana University Bloomington is responsible for implementing outreach and engagement processes aimed at low-income, in-state students. This role involves coordinating various components of the IUBound program, including student recruitment, parent engagement, and ongoing support for enrolled students. The position requires collaboration with high school and campus partners to enhance student participation and success, while also maintaining a holistic recruitment strategy to attract under-represented populations.

Responsibilities

  • Implement a coordinated early outreach and engagement process for low-income, in-state students participating in the IUBound program.
  • Coordinate components of the IUBound program, including student recruitment and parent engagement programming.
  • Promote low-income student participation in the IUBound program and support their enrollment and graduation from Indiana University.
  • Collaborate with high school and campus partners to prepare students and their supporters for future IU attendance.
  • Create strong relationships with schools that serve as feeders to current and future IU partner high schools.
  • Attend meetings and serve on committees with admissions stakeholders.
  • Serve as a resource for precollege campus programs regarding college preparation and IU admissions information.
  • Track program outcome data in conjunction with the Associate Director for Precollege Programs.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business, public policy, or related field.
  • 2 years of experience in admissions, higher education, marketing, or a related field.
  • Proficient communication skills.
  • High degree of professionalism and excellent judgment.
  • Strong time management and priority setting skills.
  • Flexibility to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Excellent presentation skills and customer relations skills.
  • Commitment to working with people of diverse backgrounds.
