About The Position

The Assistant General Manager at Holiday Inn Express & Suites Paris is responsible for supervising and managing hotel departments, ensuring optimal service and hospitality for guests. This role involves supporting the General Manager in operational tasks, including budgeting, staff management, and guest satisfaction initiatives.

Requirements

• Associate or Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Intermediate knowledge of overall hotel operations.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and manage hotel departments and oversee hotel operations as directed.
• Interview, select, train, schedule, coach, and support associates to ensure performance aligns with brand standards.
• Oversee hotel departments to provide optimal service and hospitality to guests.
• Assist the GM in preparing forecasts and reports, and in developing and monitoring the budget.
• Monitor guest satisfaction scores and work towards improving departmental and overall guest satisfaction.
• Resolve customer complaints and anticipate potential problems by reviewing operational issues.
• Oversee property accounting functions including accounts payable and receivable, house bank audits, and petty cash.
• Coordinate with corporate accounting to oversee payroll functions.
• Ensure internal audit standards are met.
• Interact with sales staff to discuss and implement sales strategies to improve occupancy and revenues.
• Monitor and maintain front office systems and equipment for optimum performance.
• Serve on the hotel's safety committee.
• Create action plans to remedy guest service deficiencies.
• Follow sustainability guidelines related to HHM's EarthView program.
• Practice safe work habits and follow MSDS and OSHA standards.
