About the position

The Assistant Manager at Guardian will support the Community Manager in the daily operations of the Grand Fir & Mahonia Crossing apartment communities in Salem, OR. This role involves managing resident paperwork, property accounting, and ensuring compliance with Fair Housing and Landlord Tenant Laws. The Assistant Manager will also coordinate with property staff and vendors to provide excellent customer service, maintain property aesthetics, and ensure timely compliance with all requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the Community Manager with daily operations of the properties.
  • Administer resident paperwork and complete property accounting and reports.
  • Enforce Guardian Management policies and procedures, adhering to Fair Housing and Landlord Tenant Laws.
  • Coordinate with property staff and vendors to provide outstanding customer service to residents.
  • Maintain excellent curb appeal and ensure proactive property maintenance.
  • Safeguard the financial health and stability of the properties.
  • Confirm compliance with all government and property program requirements.
  • Complete all required paperwork and reports on time.
  • Support leasing activities including touring potential residents and maintaining the property's wait list.
  • Coordinate requests for repairs and maintenance with the Community Manager and Maintenance Staff.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Minimum of one year of experience in multifamily property management.
  • Strong customer service skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Strong mathematical skills.
  • Proficient in technology and general computer use.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
