About the position
Nazareth University is seeking a full-time, tenure-track Assistant Professor in the Department of Social Work, starting in August 2025. The position involves teaching across the social work curriculum, advising students, developing curriculum, participating in assessment, and maintaining an active scholarly agenda. The successful candidate will contribute to the department's commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion, and will be part of a collegial faculty team dedicated to student success.
Responsibilities
- Teach across the social work curriculum.
- Advise undergraduate and graduate students.
- Develop and assess curriculum.

Requirements
- MSW from a CSWE accredited program.
- Earned doctoral degree (PhD, DSW) or ABD equivalent.
- Previous teaching experience at the undergraduate and/or graduate level in social work.
- Two years of post-MSW practice experience.
- Eligibility to obtain LMSW in New York.
- Demonstrated potential for scholarship necessary for tenure.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
