About The Position

The Assistant Project Manager at First Onsite plays a crucial role in supporting project leadership by managing multiple projects, ensuring smooth operations, and maintaining high standards of safety and quality. This position involves collaborating with various stakeholders, overseeing project documentation, and monitoring budgets and schedules to ensure successful project execution.

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in the restoration/construction industry.
  • Basic industry training and five current certifications.
  • Intermediate computer skills in MS Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Intermediate ability to read and understand Xactimate scopes and blueprints/architectural plans.
  • Advanced knowledge of local, state, and federal code requirements.
  • Experience with construction drawings, specifications, and take-offs required.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; degree preferred.
  • Valid driver's license required.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with leadership to evaluate, develop, and execute scopes of work for projects.
  • Solicit and approve proposals from subcontractors.
  • Prepare project schedules and maintain accurate records and reports.
  • Monitor project budgets, profit margins, and schedules, taking immediate action when necessary.
  • Act as a liaison between leadership, clients, subcontractors, and in-house personnel to foster effective communication.
  • Manage defined scopes of work, review change orders, and ensure accurate billing.
  • Ensure work is performed up to industry and First Onsite standards.
