About the position

The Assistant Property Manager at Boston Properties, Inc. plays a crucial role in supporting the Property Manager with daily operational tasks, ensuring tenant satisfaction, and maintaining property standards. This position involves regular interaction with tenants and vendors, managing tenant relations, and overseeing various operational functions to enhance the overall efficiency of property management.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the Property Manager in resolving day-to-day operational issues.
  • Serve as a tenant liaison, maintaining high levels of tenant satisfaction.
  • Promote and maintain positive relations with tenants through proactive communication.
  • Manage tenant move-in/move-out processes, including documentation and inspections.
  • Coordinate annual tenant fire warden training and evacuation drills.
  • Facilitate the execution of tenant work order requests in a timely manner.
  • Assist in the development of RFPs and execution of contracts and purchase orders.
  • Monitor service contractors to ensure compliance with contract specifications.
  • Maintain financial management responsibilities, including budget preparation and reporting.
  • Regularly inspect tenant spaces and common areas to ensure maintenance standards are met.
  • Coordinate with external contractors and internal departments for seamless service delivery.
  • Participate in tenant improvement meetings and scheduling of building services shutdowns.

Requirements

  • BA/BS degree in business administration, real estate, or related field required.
  • 2-5 years of property management experience preferred.
  • Continuing education in RPA or CPM certification courses is highly desirable.
  • Working knowledge of operating costs, budgeting, and expense control preferred.
  • Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
  • JD Edwards experience preferred.
  • Familiarity with ADA and OSHA regulations preferred.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work autonomously or as part of a team.

Nice-to-haves

  • Continuing education in LEED approved courses is highly desirable.
  • Experience in tenant communication and logistical coordination.
