About the position

As an Assistant Property Manager at Berkshire, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our property management team. Your day will be filled with a variety of administrative duties, training opportunities, sales activities, and customer service interactions. You will be responsible for maintaining accurate resident records and updating them daily, managing electronic payments through the Resident Portal, and staying informed about local market conditions and trends. Your contributions will be vital in helping the Property Manager achieve financial success and improve resident satisfaction. You will utilize your interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with individuals from diverse backgrounds and maintain professional communications with residents through both verbal and written channels. Additionally, you will mentor and assist the leasing team, becoming a reliable resource for your colleagues. Your role will also involve providing excellent customer service to prospective and existing residents, as well as supporting your team members in various capacities.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain accurate resident records and update on a daily basis
  • Manage and encourage electronic payments through the Resident Portal
  • Maintain awareness of local market conditions and trends
  • Contribute ideas to Property Manager for financial success and improving resident satisfaction
  • Utilize interpersonal skills to deal effectively with diverse individuals
  • Maintain professional communications with residents via verbal and written methods
  • Mentor and assist the leasing team
  • Provide excellent customer service to prospective and existing residents and team members

Requirements

  • At least two years of experience in the apartment industry
  • Experience in managing people is preferred
  • Ability to adapt to new technologies
  • Basic understanding of a property budget
  • Proficient in writing, speaking, and understanding the English language
  • Patience and dedication to the role
