As an Assistant Property Manager, you will play a crucial role in managing and maintaining the property while ensuring exceptional customer service. This position requires a blend of customer service skills and property maintenance responsibilities. You will be responsible for developing customer relationships by identifying self-storage needs and providing appropriate solutions while delivering a WOW! or 5-Star service. Interacting face to face with customers, you will provide excellent service and build rapport, meeting monthly sales goals and metrics. Your daily tasks will include walking the property to perform lock checks and showing units to customers. You will work both independently and as part of a team to rent self-storage spaces, sell store merchandise, manage the leasing process, accept payments utilizing our Point-of-Sale System (POS), complete daily bank deposits, and make courtesy calls to customers regarding late payments. In terms of property maintenance, you will be required to perform physical tasks such as daily walks of the property, cleaning the units and the property, and opening and closing storage doors (up to 50 lbs.). Maintaining the facility includes mopping, sweeping, changing light bulbs, cleaning out storage units, and similar light activities. You will ensure that the storage facility is clean and safe, meeting company guidelines, which includes maintaining clean restrooms, landscaping, parking, paving, fences, walls, and doors.
