About the position

The Assistant Store Manager in Training position is designed to equip individuals with the necessary skills and knowledge to support the Store Manager in driving store sales and profitability. This role involves learning various responsibilities across different managerial positions, including customer service, operations management, and business analysis, while effectively leading and communicating with store associates.

Responsibilities

• Supervise Associates in customer service initiatives, ensuring the store's in-stock position and organized appearance.
• Learn staffing and scheduling, identify and resolve stock deficiencies, and support service needs for sales and special orders.
• Supervise store associates, including interviewing, hiring, coaching, and performance management.
• Oversee front end processes involving sales and return transactions, as well as back end processes including receiving and freight teams.
• Develop a command of store standard operating procedures (SOPs), especially those involving safety compliance.
• Drive department profitability through analysis of sales trends and support stock integrity through inventory management processes.

Requirements

• Must be eighteen years of age or older.
• Must be legally permitted to work in the United States.
• Minimum of 3 years of work experience.
