About the position

Village Care Homes offers three small assisted living communities in a home-like setting. We are seeking a manager for our assisted living community located in Conroe (414 Stephen F Austin Drive), which averages 16 residents. We are very proud of our care team. Duties include being responsible for performing all aspects of the day-to-day operation of the communities, including being on-call five days per week, interfacing with residents, families, and health providers, supervising and communicating with caregivers working at the community, ensuring that community policies, procedures, and systems are implemented, followed, and updated, contacting prospective residents and conducting tours, maintaining food and supplies for the community and preparing monthly menus, auditing medication records and reordering medications, supervising team members and interviewing, hiring, onboarding, orienting, and training new team members, preparing team member work schedules and finding coverage when needed or covering unassigned shifts, and maintaining a professional approach to responsibilities and work with others toward overall resident care.

Responsibilities

  • Perform all aspects of the day-to-day operation of the assisted living community.
  • Be on-call five days per week.
  • Interface with residents, families, and health providers.
  • Supervise and communicate with caregivers working at the community.
  • Ensure that community policies, procedures, and systems are implemented, followed, and updated.
  • Contact prospective residents and conduct tours.
  • Maintain food and supplies for the community and prepare monthly menus.
  • Audit medication records and reorder medications.
  • Supervise team members and interview, hire, onboard, orient, and train new team members.
  • Prepare team member work schedules and find coverage when needed or cover unassigned shifts.
  • Maintain a professional approach to responsibilities and work with others toward overall resident care.

Requirements

  • Manager experience preferred but will train the right candidate.
  • Successful background check required.
  • Must be fluent in English and have the ability to understand documents such as the policy and procedures manual.
  • Must have reliable transportation to the community.
  • Must be at least 18 years old with a high school degree or GED.
