About the position

The Associate Account Executive (AAE) position at LatchBio is a specialized and impactful role focused on pioneering software in biology. The company is at the forefront of the convergence of laboratory automation, high-throughput assays, and machine learning, aiming to revolutionize biological discovery through a cloud platform designed for storing, visualizing, and analyzing data from biological experiments. LatchBio is a team of 22 engineers and salespeople based in San Francisco, dedicated to solving the data bottleneck in biology, with a significant increase in data and AI applications in the biopharma sector. The role requires working in person in Mission Bay, SF, and involves a commitment to a six-day work week (Monday to Saturday).

Responsibilities

  • Refine Ideal Customer Profile (ICP) alongside product and sales team.
  • Orchestrate Account-Based Marketing (ABM) campaigns personalized to ICPs.
  • Write and refine messaging frequently based on outreach data.
  • Navigate and work responses from leads to warm them up for qualification meetings.
  • Book demos and conduct hot-handoffs to Account Executives (AEs) to close opportunities.
  • Travel frequently to life sciences conferences around the world.

Requirements

  • 1 year experience as a Business Development Representative (BDR) or Account Executive (AE) at an early-stage cloud or software company.
  • Background in biology - either in school or professionally.
  • Evidence of exceptional performance at prior jobs.
  • Ability to understand and communicate technical concepts plainly.
  • Familiarity with Salesforce CRM and best practices.
  • Desire to excel at sales.
