About the position

The Associate Director, 340B Management is a dynamic leader responsible for Teva's overall 340B program management as it relates to Teva's 340B Contract Pharmacy Program Integrity Initiative and Teva's 340B Medical Benefits Validation Solution. In this pivotal role, she/he will report directly to the Director, Revenue Optimization and Process Compliance and support a broader Revenue Optimization & Contract Compliance (ROCC) organization which handles contract operations (rebates, chargebacks, membership, etc.), government pricing, dispute resolution, and product return management. She/he will serve as the subject matter expert on all 340B program matters including alignment with key account stakeholders in 340B related contractual language. She/he will interact with Market Access, Legal, ROCC, Data Science and Analytics, IT, Commercial and others to identify opportunities and solutions to enable Teva to appropriately eliminate or reduce revenue leakage within the 340B landscape, including the use of serialization for expired product returns. She/he will need to work cross-functionally to drive alignment, proactively develop reporting tools, and align with external vendors on program management and compliance.

Responsibilities

  • Manage Teva's 340B policies and ensure compliance across the entire brand product portfolio and all contracted customer segments for both Pharmacy and Medical Benefits.
  • Stay vigilant and up to date on the rapidly changing 340B landscape from both legislative and industry perspectives. Lead weekly status/update meetings across Commercial Finance 340B stakeholders.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert on the evolving industry movements that could potentially impact Teva's 340B program across both Pharmacy and Medical benefits.
  • Proactively monitor potential policy revisions and analyze and assess any financial impact. Present findings to key stakeholders accordingly.
  • Manage 340B vendor relationships, including working with vendors such as BRG and any potential 3rd vendor that may be utilized as needed. Lead weekly discussions with vendor and stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with and actively participate in strategy meetings as needed with key stakeholders including Market Access, Legal, ROCC, Data Science and Analytics, IT, Government Pricing, Brand Pricing & Marketing, Commercial and others.
  • Manage and monitor the 340B inbox, ensuring inquiries are responded to in a timely manner and escalating correspondence accordingly when applicable.
  • Work closely with Chargeback and Membership teams to ensure timely delivery/receipt of eligibility files to wholesalers of eligible contract pharmacy locations for 340B replenishment.
  • Anticipate internal and/or external business challenges and/or regulatory issues; recommend process, product, or service improvement.
  • Proactively develop and provide analytics and reporting to monitor 340B policy.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required; Master's/MBA preferred.
  • At least 5 - 7 years in the pharmaceutical industry, with an understanding of product flows and channels.
  • Familiarity with the 340B industry challenges, landscape, and legislation.
  • Familiarity with various contracting strategies and customer concession types (rebates, chargebacks) and their impact on Gross to Net.
  • Must possess strong financial and analytical skills including experience communicating results to senior management.
  • Strong analytical and data interpretation skills to analyze and resolve complex financial problems.
  • Ability to effectively communicate and influence cross-functional stakeholders in complex business situations and to accurately interpret business considerations and impacts.
  • Proven track record of successfully working effectively in a cross functional based environment.
  • Proven track record of leading optimization initiatives with a continuous improvement mindset.
