As an Associate Director in our rapidly growing Business Transformation - Large Enterprise (Commercial) practice, you will serve as a trusted partner to our clients. You will bring your first-hand experience, unique perspectives, and functional knowledge to deliver tailored integrated solutions that help our clients solve today's challenges and set the foundation for future success. In this role, you will be responsible for a mix of client delivery, leading teams, developing junior team members, and participating in business development activities in the Finance Transformation space. You will play a pivotal role in guiding our Office of the CFO clients through the complexities of Finance strategy, operating model design, and F&A operations. Leveraging your expertise, you will help organizations align their performance improvement and technology initiatives with their business goals, drive innovation, and achieve operational excellence. This role requires a strategic thinker with strong leadership capabilities and a deep understanding of finance functions and industry-leading practices.

Responsibilities

  • Lead execution of Finance Transformation related projects including Finance function strategy, operating model design, and process optimization.
  • Identify, assess, and analyze challenges requiring in-depth evaluation of clients' Finance function capabilities.
  • Develop client relationships at various levels and identify new opportunities to expand scope of services delivered.
  • Determine client issues and assess performance using standard assessment techniques and tools.
  • Analyze data, validate analysis, and develop recommendations in the context of overall client engagement.
  • Assess and escalate project issues, risks, or conflicts to leadership and suggest resolutions.
  • Proactively partner with CrossCountry Consulting's leadership team on internal projects.
  • Participate in business development activities including development and presentation of client pitches and proposals.

Requirements

  • 9+ years' experience in relevant consulting, CFO Advisory, Finance Transformation, or relevant industry experience.
  • Strong strategic finance function planning skills with experience working with C-Suite executives.
  • Ability to develop and implement Finance operating models that align with business objectives.
  • Excellent communication skills to maintain sources of project information and communicate effectively with clients and team members.
  • Self-starter with the ability to navigate complex client situations.
  • Demonstrated track record of establishing credibility both internally and externally.
  • Passionate about building, developing, motivating, and leading others.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to think from a big picture perspective.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with Finance and accounting current-state assessments including finance strategy, business case, and roadmap.
  • Experience in finance and accounting process improvement including core end-to-end processes.
  • Experience with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) and/or Enterprise Performance Management (EPM).
  • Knowledge of operating models, including GBS/shared services and outsourcing advisory services.
  • Experience in use case development and deployment of digital workforce leveraging AI, ML, and RPA.
