About the position

The Associate Director of Development for Asia at The Nature Conservancy (TNC) is a pivotal role that focuses on engaging donors to fulfill their philanthropic aspirations and raise essential funds for transformative outcomes in conservation efforts across the Asia Pacific region and beyond. This position requires a strong commitment to TNC's mission of protecting the lands and waters that all life depends on, and it offers an exciting opportunity to make a globally significant impact. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional communication and collaboration skills, along with a deep understanding of fundraising best practices, complex gift strategies, and the ability to manage relationships effectively. In this role, the Associate Director will be responsible for developing and implementing fundraising strategies that focus on identifying, cultivating, soliciting, and stewarding major and principal gift level donors. This includes building donor-specific strategies aimed at High-Net-Worth Individuals and private foundations, as well as maintaining long-term relationships with major donors, foundations, and corporations. The successful candidate will have a proven track record of asking for and successfully closing seven-figure gifts, as well as managing and tracking multiple prospects and donors simultaneously. Additionally, the Associate Director will stay informed about current and evolving trends in charitable giving, particularly in the areas of capital campaigns, major gifts, and planned giving.
