The Associate Electrical Engineer at AST SpaceMobile will play a crucial role in the development of the first and only space-based cellular broadband network, designed to provide connectivity at 4G/5G speeds globally. This position involves close collaboration with senior engineers to design and test electrical harnesses for satellites and associated ground support equipment. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating detailed electrical schematics, selecting appropriate wiring and connectors, and ensuring compliance with both company and industry standards. In this role, the Associate Electrical Engineer will develop and execute test plans to verify the functionality, reliability, and performance of electrical harness systems. This includes conducting thorough testing and validation procedures, analyzing test data, and troubleshooting any issues to ensure adherence to specifications and design requirements. The engineer will also be tasked with creating comprehensive technical documentation, such as interface control documents, system schematics, block diagrams, harness drawings, and installation procedures, while maintaining accurate records to contribute to the company's knowledge base. Collaboration is key in this position, as the Associate Electrical Engineer will work closely with multidisciplinary teams, including power, RF, commands and data handling, and other spacecraft subsystems, to ensure seamless integration of electrical systems.
