As an Associate Electrical Engineer, you will be responsible for determining design approaches and parameters, performing system analysis to assess the feasibility of designs within time and cost constraints, and utilizing modeling tools and equipment to establish operating data. You will conduct experimental tests, evaluate results, and select components and equipment based on specifications and reliability. Your role will also involve performing simulations and presenting design reviews to peer engineers, as well as writing scripts to control synthesis and build tools. In the realm of Digital Engineering, you will design, analyze, modify, test, and evaluate FPGA and programmable hardware, as well as complex Circuit Card Assemblies to support Avionics and Space customers. You will need knowledge of digital communications systems, VHDL language, and digital signal processing techniques. Additionally, you will engage in RF Engineering, testing and evaluating RF/Microwave devices, and working with common commercial RF design and analysis tools. Your responsibilities will extend to Photonics Engineering, where you will design and evaluate optical communications systems, and Antenna Engineering, where you will analyze and test antenna systems. You will also be involved in Hardware Design Verification, ensuring compliance with operational requirements of L3Harris products. Optical Engineering tasks will include performing optical design and analysis on advanced telescopes and developing optical budgets and sensitivities.
