About the position

The Associate Field Service Engineer for Beckman Coulter Diagnostics plays a crucial role in maintaining diagnostic tools that directly impact patient health and well-being. This position is part of the Service Organization located in the DC/Baltimore metro area and is fully remote. The engineer will be responsible for ensuring optimal performance of Beckman Coulter equipment, specifically servicing the Urinalysis and Hematology systems. The role requires a proactive approach to troubleshooting, installation, validation, preventative maintenance, modifications, and service repair needs on Beckman Coulter equipment. The engineer will also provide excellent and efficient service to customers, along with technical training on products. In this position, the engineer will work under moderate direction from Field Service mentors and leadership, maintaining accurate customer service logs and internal service records, ordering repair parts, and adhering to cycle times. The role involves utilizing business systems such as OBI, Sales Force, and SharePoint for Service Call Planning and advancing team goals. Engaging with both internal and external stakeholders is essential to understand and meet their unique needs, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction and support for long-term retention. Responsibilities

  • Complete troubleshooting, installation, validation, preventative maintenance, modifications, and service repair needs on Beckman Coulter equipment.
  • Provide excellent and efficient service to Beckman Coulter's customers, along with technical training on products.
  • Maintain accurate customer service logs and internal service records.
  • Order repair parts and adhere to cycle times.
  • Utilize business systems such as OBI, Sales Force, and SharePoint for Service Call Planning and advancing team goals.
  • Engage with both internal and external stakeholders to understand and meet their unique needs.

Requirements

  • Associate degree preferred or equivalent military experience.
  • 0-1 year experience diagnosing and repairing mechanical, electromechanical, robotics, electronic equipment, and/or instrumentation.

Nice-to-haves

  • 2+ years' experience of troubleshooting, installation, validation, preventative maintenance, modifications and/or service repair.
  • Developing positive business relationships with both internal and external stakeholders, resulting in increased customer satisfaction and supporting long-term retention.
  • A technical college major such as biomed, engineering, or related.
