As an Associate Field Engineer at Automated Logic, you will play a crucial role in the business through the field commissioning of building automation systems tailored specifically for each individual customer. This position serves as your first introduction into the career of a Field Engineer, where you will begin to complete assignments using troubleshooting skills, with projects advancing in difficulty to develop your skills further. We are looking for a team member who is self-motivated, detail-oriented, and customer-focused. In this role, you will initiate, install, troubleshoot, and optimize customer systems that utilize advanced Direct Digital Control technology. You will be responsible for providing effective solutions for system issues and ensuring that systems operate properly, including controls, sensors, and software. You will also load software, configure trends, alarms, and reports, and implement time management strategies to ensure customer satisfaction. Communication and documentation of the project status and details for the customer will be essential, as well as providing site-specific training to owners/operators on the complete system.

Responsibilities

  • Initiate, install, troubleshoot, and optimize customer systems that utilize advanced Direct Digital Control technology.
  • Offer effective solutions for system issues.
  • Provide turnkey project delivery on small to mid-level projects.
  • Ensure that systems operate properly, including controls, sensors, and software.
  • Load software, configure trends, alarms, and reports.
  • Implement time management strategies to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Communicate and document the status and details of the project for the customer.
  • Provide site-specific training to owners/operators on the complete system.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Capable of climbing ladders or using other lift equipment over 8 feet above grade and capable of lifting items up to 50lbs.
  • Valid and current Driver's License and can be insurable by the company's insurance.

Nice-to-haves

  • Bachelor's degree, associate degree, Technical/Business School Certificate or Diploma in HVAC, Controls, or related field.
  • Experience in Building Automation, HVAC controls, or related field.
  • Experience with building automation software, such as WebCTRL, and installing building automation controls.
  • Working knowledge of TCP/IP networks including wireless technology.
  • Ability to communicate technical information to a non-technical audience.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well in a team environment.
  • Proficient with Microsoft 365 applications.
