About the position

The Associate Field Service Engineer position at Trojan Technologies is a technical role focused on providing field, technical, and customer service for Aria Filtra products and processes. This position is primarily responsible for servicing customers located in the Mountain and Western Time Zones, requiring the ability to perform hands-on work safely, optimize processes, and maintain high levels of customer satisfaction. The role demands significant travel, estimated at 80-90%, primarily from Monday to Friday, which may involve frequent flights and occasional travel to Canada. The position is remote, but candidates must be located in Colorado or California. In this role, the engineer will assist in commissioning services and contracted services for the installed base and mobile water deployments. Responsibilities include completing Factory Acceptance Tests (FATs) for both permanent and mobile systems before they are shipped to customer sites. The engineer will also be tasked with solving problems, evaluating systems and processes to identify root causes, and implementing corrective actions as necessary. Supporting customers from the startup phase through to the purchase of their next Trojan system is a key aspect of the job, as is collaborating with team members to ensure efficient and effective service delivery. Responsibilities

  • Provide field, technical, and customer service for Aria Filtra products and processes.
  • Assist in commissioning services and contracted services to the installed base and mobile water deployments.

  • Solve problems, evaluate systems and processes to isolate root causes, and implement corrective actions as required.

Requirements

  • 3 to 5 years of Field Service experience with either a 2-year technical degree or 4 years of experience without a degree (Mechanical or Electrical degrees preferred).
  • Availability to travel 80-90% of the time.
  • Familiarity with electrical, electronic, hydraulic, and mechanical principles, with the ability to read and interpret mechanical and electrical drawings.
  • Ability to work with cross-functional teams such as Engineering, Sales, and Operations to solve site-specific difficulties and provide unique solutions.
  • Demonstrated customer service skills with a customer-first mindset.
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills, with a logical thought process.
  • Strong organization and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and complex tasks.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with water treatment systems or similar technologies.
  • Knowledge of sustainability practices in engineering or field service roles.
