About the position

Cedar Hill Regional Medical Center - Opening in 2025! When open in early 2025, Cedar Hill Regional Medical Center GW Health will be the first new full-service hospital in Washington, DC in more than 20 years! This teaching hospital will integrate clinical care with existing providers, The George Washington University Hospital, and the Urgent Care Center in Ward 8. This clinical integration will establish a robust system of care for all District residents, but more importantly, it will ensure residents of Wards 7 and 8 have access to high quality care in their community. This full-service hospital will include 136 beds (with the ability to expand to 184 beds), a verified trauma center, adult and pediatric emergency departments, maternal health and delivery, an ambulatory pavilion for physician offices, clinics, a community space, a 500-car garage and a helipad for emergency transports. We are seeking an Information Services Support Technician to provide telephone support and quality customer service to all hospital customers.

Responsibilities

  • Answers phones, determines problem, assists customer providing first-call resolution (when appropriate).
  • Opens tickets, assigns to escalation points, and participates in ticket review/monitoring.
  • Maintains ticket tracking software and verifies proper follow up and documentation on assigned tickets in a timely manner.
  • Installs and sets up new computer systems for testing and loading of software.
  • Maintains and modifies PC hardware inventory database for computer devices by user and location.
  • Tasked as backup to telecommunication technician.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum one year experience in help/desk/desktop technology support - troubleshooting basic network, hardware, software, and printing problems.

Nice-to-haves

  • Associate degree in Information Technology or related field from an accredited college or university preferred.
  • Experience in acute care hospital environment preferred.
