About The Position

The Associate, Java / Scala Developer position at Morgan Stanley Services Group Inc. involves designing and implementing new components and functionalities for securities and elemental reference data systems. Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
• Five (5) years of experience in the position offered or as an Analyst or a related occupation.
• Five (5) years of experience with Python, Java, Agile Software Development, and Test-driven (TDD) / behavior-driven (BDD) development.
• Four (4) years of experience with Sybase, DB2, Linux, Snowflake, Cloud solution providers including Azure, Angular, and Kafka.
• Any amount of experience with C++, Scala, and Cloud solution providers including AWS.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement new components and functionality for securities and elemental reference data systems.
• Implement bug fixes and code improvements.
• Extend test automation and tooling for improved insight.
• Perform code and test result reviews for team members' work.
• Meet with stakeholders and external data providers to gather and analyze new requirements.
• Provide advanced support for users.
• Advance Technical Fitness and Modernization objectives, such as moving SDLC processes to GitHub Enterprise and decommissioning legacy code.
