About the position

The Associate Manager, Employee Relations will join the Employee Relations team for Disney Experiences, focusing on enhancing the employee experience and providing mentorship and guidance on workplace matters. This role involves conducting investigations, communicating policies, and collaborating with key partners to promote inclusion and employee engagement.

Responsibilities

  • Provide mentorship, guidance, and services specific to advancing investigations and advising on workplace matters.
  • Enhance the employee experience by engaging with leaders and employees during critical moments in the employment relationship.
  • Assist with implementing company-wide strategies consistent with company policies, values, and culture.
  • Integrate with key partners to drive solutions that promote inclusion, employee engagement, and business results.
  • Promote knowledge of company policies and relevant laws through outreach, coaching, presentations, and training.
  • Conduct timely, objective, and thorough internal investigations regarding allegations of inappropriate conduct, harassment, discrimination, and retaliation.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate accounts of investigations and communicate outcomes to employees.
  • Support the Employee Relations team in reviewing ER data/metrics for themes, trends, and root cause identification.
  • Collaborate with clients and stakeholders on performance and change management solutions.
  • Facilitate training and support project work as needed.

Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years of strong experience conducting investigations in a professional level role.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to influence and communicate effectively at all levels of the organization.
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to establish and nurture collaborative and inclusive workplace relationships.
  • Ability to analyze data, trends, and insights to identify root causes.
  • Demonstrated experience in consulting and delivering solution recommendations.
  • Strong conflict resolution and presentation skills.
  • Strong organization and time management skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Bilingual speaking/writing.
  • Experience with Collective Bargaining Agreements.
  • Background in disability management.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of federal and state laws/regulations (including Title VII, ADA, ADAAA, and FMLA).
