About The Position

The Associate Manager at Ralph Lauren plays a crucial role in supporting the General Manager by creating and executing strategic plans to ensure the store's profitability. This position involves key decision-making responsibilities in the absence of the General Manager and focuses on operational excellence, talent optimization, and maintaining brand integrity standards.

Requirements

  • College Degree or equivalent preferred.
  • Retail Management or similar industry experience in a complex, high-volume or high-profile specialty environment preferred.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with customers and store personnel.
  • Ability to maneuver around the sales floor, stock/dressing room, cashwrap, and office; work around/with chemicals, lift/climb up to 30 lbs., and climb moderately.
  • Ability to operate the register, stand, move, and walk for multiple hours.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including day, evening, weekends, and possibly overnight shifts and travel as required.
  • Proven track record of success in building and maintaining positive working relationships with customers, management, and co-workers.
  • Strong business acumen and planning/prioritization/time management skills.

Responsibilities

  • Support the General Manager in analyzing business trends and strategic planning of business initiatives for the store location.
  • Educate the team on sales and profit performance tools and resources.
  • Create a consistent customer experience aligned with Ralph Lauren brand expectations.
  • Assist in developing the store client development strategy and lead community outreach efforts.
  • Execute the talent strategy for the store, collaborating with the General Manager to build a customer-centric team.
  • Drive networking and recruitment activities in the store market.
  • Engage in ongoing talent development conversations, providing coaching, feedback, and learning opportunities.
  • Maintain productivity standards through effective process management and inventory control.
  • Champion the use of new technology to support selling techniques and drive business results.
  • Uphold all company policies and procedures.
  • Provide feedback to the General Manager and District Director regarding profit potential and business trends.
  • Ensure sales floor and store standards exceed expectations at all times.
  • Create an inclusive environment aligned with Ralph Lauren's core values.
