Responsibilities

  • Provides support to the Manufacturing organization to facilitate efficient operations within the production area.
  • Monitors performance of manufacturing lines, equipment, machines and tools and corrects equipment problems or process parameters that produce non-conforming products, low yields or product quality issues.
  • Interfaces with Quality and other organizational functions to integrate new products or processes into the existing manufacturing area.
  • Initiates and completes technical activities leading to new or improved products or processes.
  • Analyzes and solves problems from basic engineering principles to complex problems requiring innovative approaches.
  • Develops knowledge in a field to become a recognized leader or authority in an area of specialization.
  • Incorporates business policies and procedures into task completion.
  • Cultivates internal and external network of resources to complete tasks.
  • Interacts cross functionally and with internal and external customers.
  • Applies manufacturing concepts like LEAN manufacturing, push versus pull, 5S, SMED, Poke-Yoke.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree plus 0-2+ years of related work experience.
  • Basic technical knowledge of concepts, practices and procedures.
  • Limited understanding of business unit/group function.
  • Ability to perform tasks in a quality system environment adhering to medical device standards.
