About the position

The NYU Langone Health System is seeking an Associate or Full Professor for a tenure-track position in healthcare policy research within the Department of Population Health. This role focuses on a variety of healthcare policy research areas, including insurance coverage models, Medicaid and Medicare policy impacts, and emerging healthcare delivery shifts. The successful candidate will engage in interdisciplinary collaboration and contribute to significant research initiatives aimed at improving health equity and outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Conduct research on healthcare policy, including insurance coverage and financing models.
• Analyze the impacts of Medicaid and Medicare policies on access to care and health outcomes.
• Study emerging shifts in healthcare delivery, such as telehealth and ambulatory care expansion.
• Collaborate with clinical departments, public agencies, and community partners on research projects.
• Teach one course per year in the Department of Population Health.
• Engage with the NYU Langone Health System in academic work.

Requirements

• PhD, DrPH, MD, or equivalent doctoral degree.
• Demonstrated scholarship through teaching, publications, and extramurally-funded research.
• Track record of successful extramural funding, particularly from NIH.
• Strong interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in health disparities and social determinants of health research.
• Previous teaching experience at the university level.
