About the position
Caro Mont Photography is seeking a dedicated and talented Associate Photographer to join our dynamic and creative photography studio located in Orlando, FL. This position is ideal for individuals who are passionate about photography, eager to learn, and interested in growing with our company. As an Associate Photographer, you will play a crucial role in capturing photos for clients while receiving close mentorship on all aspects of photography, including creative direction, lighting, post-processing, and client management. In this hybrid role, you will assist in photographing various sessions, including family portraits, brand shoots, mini sessions, and events. You will also have the opportunity to independently manage photography sessions when necessary, ensuring that all work aligns with the studio's established style and quality. Your responsibilities will include managing and organizing photography equipment and studio space, assisting with client communication, and participating in editing and post-processing to maintain high-quality deliverables. Collaboration is key in this role, as you will work with the team on creative concepts, mood boards, and set designs. Providing exceptional customer service is essential to ensure a positive client experience from start to finish. Additionally, you may be required to travel for on-location shoots and set up studio-styled sets, including backdrops, props, and lighting. This position offers a competitive compensation structure, including an hourly wage for editing and assisting, a per job rate for independent sessions, commission for new client referrals, and performance-based bonuses.
Responsibilities
- Assist in photographing sessions, including family portraits, brand shoots, mini sessions, and events.
- Independently manage photography sessions when necessary, ensuring consistency with the studio's style and quality.
- Manage and organize photography equipment and studio space.
- Assist with client communication, including consultations, scheduling, and follow-ups.
- Participate in editing and post-processing to maintain high-quality deliverables.
- Collaborate on creative concepts, mood boards, and set designs.
- Provide exceptional customer service to ensure a positive client experience from start to finish.
- Travel for on-location shoots as needed.
- Set up studio-styled sets, including backdrops, props, and lighting.
- Assist in culling, editing, and delivering galleries post-photoshoot.
Requirements
- Proven experience in photography (portfolio required).
- Proficiency in using professional camera equipment (Canon preferred), lighting, and editing software (Adobe Photoshop, Lightroom, etc.).
- Must be coach-able, open to learning and feedback.
- Strong attention to detail and an eye for composition and creativity.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well with clients of all ages.
- A proactive, self-motivated attitude with a willingness to learn and take direction.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends.
- Must have a reliable mode of transportation.
