About The Position

The Associate Plant Manager at Avery Dennison will oversee the operational performance of the Adhesives Manufacturing Facility in Mill Hall, Pennsylvania. This role focuses on environmental health and safety, financial results, quality, service, employee relations, and supply chain management. The position requires a strong background in process safety management within a chemical manufacturing environment and aims to transition to standalone plant management duties.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Chemical field; Master's Degree preferred.
  • 10+ years of successful multi-functional operations experience including management and employee development.
  • 5+ years of demonstrated ability in a process safety management regulated chemical facility.
  • Solid understanding of modern manufacturing and material flow improvement strategies.
  • Skilled in analyzing information for long-term strategic change and improvement.
  • Experience in leading significant multi-site, multi-functional or business project initiatives.
  • Demonstrated understanding of financial systems and key drivers in manufacturing.
  • Strong organizational skills in strategy, communication, and execution.
  • Experience in leading and managing individuals and teams.
  • Operational knowledge of applicable systems.
  • Strong financial and business acumen.
  • Excellent written, verbal communication, and presentation skills.

Responsibilities

  • Provide visible leadership for all aspects of Environmental, Health, and Safety Performance.
  • Deliver on the Corporation's 2025 Sustainability Goals.
  • Lead, encourage, coach, and develop all members of the organization.
  • Attract, retain, and develop high potential talent within the organization.
  • Collaborate with Divisional Leadership, Research & Development, and the Site Leadership Team to develop strategic goals.
  • Implement, monitor, and control critical performance indicators.
  • Champion the principles of Lean Six Sigma and cultivate a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Develop and ensure successful implementation of financial and business plans.
  • Model and promote the corporation's code of business ethics and leadership principles.
