We are looking for an Associate Power Finance Director in El Segundo, CA. The essential functions of this role include leveraging a professional network to originate new business opportunities to achieve assigned production targets and helping other team members achieve their own production targets. The Associate Power Finance Director will be responsible for customer relationship management and will assist with the management of other key external constituents such as law firms and key vendors. This role involves leading discussions with clients and other internal and external counterparts, including credit committees, loan syndications, legal counsel, and due diligence consultants, to obtain and execute syndicated and highly-structured financings. The position requires independent attendance at client meetings, conferences, site visits, and other industry events. The Associate Power Finance Director will establish and maintain a high level of credibility with key internal constituents, including senior management, credit risk, internal auditors, and other risk management functions. This role also involves negotiating nuanced transaction points directly with clients and presenting complicated structures to clients, regulators, and key risk management and credit approval functions. Compliance with all related legal requirements and banking regulations is essential, ensuring that all new transactions and portfolios remain within risk tolerances set by the board of directors. Occasional public speaking may be required at industry panels and bank meetings. The Associate Power Finance Director will lead execution deal teams and assist with portfolio management activities as needed. This role includes leading the training and development of team members, reviewing work products to ensure materials produced by the deal team are error-free and maintain a high level of analytical integrity, and ensuring established business development goals are met. The position has authority concerning staffing, performance evaluations, promotions, salary recommendations, and terminations, as well as monitoring and managing portfolio credit quality. Significant travel is required, and other duties may be assigned as needed.
