About The Position

This associate engineering position offers a hybrid work arrangement, allowing for three days in the office and two days of remote work. The role focuses on structural engineering, providing opportunities to collaborate with a team on projects related to new nuclear facilities and modifications to existing nuclear power plants. The position emphasizes the application of knowledge in materials, structural analysis, and design, while also guiding less experienced team members.

Requirements

• BS degree in Civil Engineering with an emphasis in Structural Engineering from an ABET-accredited program.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.

Nice To Haves

• Three or more years of experience in the design and analysis of structures, including AISC steel and ACI concrete designs.
• Experience with structural analysis software such as STAAD, SAP2000, SAFE, STRUDL, or ANSYS.
• Familiarity with design codes and standards such as ASCE 7, AISC, and ACI.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with a team of structural engineers on various projects.
• Interface with engineers from other disciplines.
• Guide the work of less experienced project team members.
• Prepare and review design calculations and develop specifications.
• Support designers with drawing development.
• Perform structural analysis and design of steel frames, connections, concrete members, and foundations using advanced computer tools.
• Travel to client and vendor offices for design reviews and to plant site locations for construction coordination and field verification of designs.
