About the position

At Risk Placement Services, we are more than just a team; we thrive on collaboration, creativity, and tackling challenges head-on. Our culture fosters an environment where every idea counts, and every individual's contribution matters. As an Associate Underwriter/Broker in the Transportation sector, you will step into a world of excitement and innovation as we work with top-rated carriers to design robust coverage for our clients. This role is pivotal in assisting Account Managers, Account Executives, Producers, and Brokers in servicing a designated group of clients or a book of business, particularly in marketing, claims, administration, and sales. You will typically be assigned to accounts with less complex needs, with no renewal goals associated with the assigned accounts. Under the direction of more senior staff, you will provide administrative support to an assigned group of clients, resolving customer service inquiries that require research and interactions with carriers or agents. While you will generally handle day-to-day client contacts with mid- or lower-level client staff, you will also respond to client questions and maintain a log of conversations. Your responsibilities will include marketing new and renewal accounts according to company procedures, evaluating all proposals to include in spreadsheets, preparing renewals and client information presentations, and assisting in preparing RFP responses. Additionally, you may provide guidance and direction to Customer Service Representatives or administrative support, making your role essential in ensuring client satisfaction and operational efficiency.
