Boyd Gaming Corporation is seeking an Assistant Manager of Facilities to join our team at our Las Vegas location. This role is critical in ensuring the smooth operation and maintenance of our facilities, which are essential to our success as a premier casino entertainment company. The Assistant Manager will be responsible for physically responding to emergency situations, such as fires, power outages, gas leaks, and water leaks, ensuring that all necessary repairs are conducted promptly and effectively. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of building codes and will be familiar with installing electrical conduits and wiring throughout the complex. In addition to emergency response, the Assistant Manager will oversee the service and repair of air handler units and cooling towers, working closely with outside contractors to develop scopes of work and follow up on project completion. The role requires a demonstrated ability to implement and develop work plans, as well as create and maintain a work schedule for the facilities team. The Assistant Manager will also be responsible for replacing and installing high voltage shunt and motor control gear, as well as performing assessments on existing equipment and installing new or repaired equipment, including televisions, lighting fixtures, and kitchen equipment. The successful candidate will ensure routine maintenance and repair of air conditioning units, including the removal or repair of compressor units. They will also be tasked with developing and documenting existing facility equipment and maintaining a productive facilities team. The Assistant Manager will report directly to the Director of Facilities and will ensure compliance with all applicable rules and regulations from governing agencies, including OSHA and local fire and health departments. This position requires a constant awareness of safety and accident prevention, as well as the ability to develop and coordinate preventive maintenance schedules. The Assistant Manager will also handle personnel-related matters, including interviewing, hiring, training, and evaluating staff, while managing the departmental budget and overseeing purchasing in accordance with budget guidelines. Overall, this position is vital to maintaining the highest level of efficiency in our facilities and equipment, ensuring that all emergency systems and safety codes are operational and compliant at all times.
