About the position

The position involves planning and scheduling maintenance for aircraft, working closely with line stations, MROs, and Maintenance Control. The individual will monitor A and C check times on all aircraft to ensure timely completion and will also oversee maintenance due times and work requests. Collaboration with other company departments is essential to assure the timely completion of tasks. The role requires advising the Manager of Maintenance Planning about upcoming maintenance requirements and their approximate due dates based on projected flight times and normal utilization. The candidate will accurately plan and forecast projected scheduled maintenance, order hard time components, create flowcharts and graphs of maintenance requirements, and prepare and monitor Line Check and C-Check work packages through to completion. Additional duties may be assigned as necessary.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and schedule maintenance, working closely with line stations, MRO's and Maintenance Control
  • Monitor A and C check times on all aircrafts to ensure they are accomplished in a timely manner
  • Monitor maintenance due times and work requests, planning and scheduling as required
  • Work directly with line stations for accomplishment of scheduled maintenance items
  • Advise the Manager of Maintenance Planning of upcoming maintenance requirements and their approximate due dates
  • Accurately plan and forecast projected scheduled maintenance in a timely manner
  • Order hard time components to match planned maintenance
  • Create flowcharts and graphs of projected planned maintenance requirements
  • Prepare, assemble, schedule, issue, and monitor Line Check and C-Check work packages through to completion
  • Advise Aircraft Records of the accomplishment of required maintenance actions
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Clearly communicate with customers and co-workers
  • Stand, bend and reach in order to maintain files; and sit for extended periods of time
  • Read and interpret aircraft maintenance technical data and translate technical data to concise and accurate work description
  • File documents and maintain a file system
  • Good organizational, verbal, and written skills
  • Translate technical data to a concise and accurate work description

Nice-to-haves

  • A&P License
  • Planning experience preferred
  • Minimum 3-5 years aircraft maintenance background
