About the position

The Audio Visual Programmer position at FGS, LLC is a critical role responsible for the development and implementation of AV control code to meet operational and security requirements. This position involves writing, testing, and debugging control code, as well as assisting with AV designs, user guides, and testing documentation. The programmer will work closely with project managers, senior programmers, and engineers to enhance the effectiveness and efficiency of software applications. The role requires a strong understanding of AV systems and the ability to communicate effectively with various stakeholders. The position also entails significant travel, both CONUS and OCONUS, up to 50% of the time, which is essential for the implementation and support of AV systems in diverse environments.

Responsibilities

• Develop AV control code to support operational and security requirements
• Implement AV control code in lab and operational environments
• Complete assigned software implementation tasks to high standard on-schedule
• Participate in engineering design reviews to verify design adherence to standards and specifications
• Write or revise program documentation, operations documentation, and user guides
• Perform other related duties as assigned

Requirements

• Three years of VTC/AV engineering experience
• Certified as Crestron, AMX, or Extron trained
• Experience with Crestron, AMX, and Extron programming
• Experienced applying AV control codes
• Able to read and interpret engineering designs
• Able to work independently or in a team environment and multi-task while maintaining attention to detail
• Possess excellent interpersonal skills, including the ability to communicate (verbal and written) and deal with all levels of project support staff and stakeholders

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with secure control communications with EVERTZ MMA-10G and Nuclues systems
• Experience with Clearone Converge software
